2.

 My Bank Your Bank

Forgive us our debts…

Robbie retained little confidence in the administration of Barack Obama as people of means were participating in the voluntary destruction of their own capital earning nothing and paying what amounted to monthly storage fees to park their money in the bank where Robbie didn’t benefit greatly as he had to carry such large amounts of stockpiled cash as a liability on his balance sheet charging his best customers a nominal fee for the privilege of keeping their hundreds of millions of dollars safe from the uncertainty associated with the vacillating tenant in the White House. He had read an article by the purest Gary Shilling of how banks were holding a record $1.5T at the Federal Reserve waiting for credit worthy customers to apply for loans; a sign of how much borrowing activities have declined. [17] He reasoned much of their consternation was due to lack of leadership and uncertainty originating from the District. He thought how under different circumstances that money would be utilized to snap up cheap real estate, build a factory, mine for gold, search for buried treasure, like the recent shipwreck discovery off the Irish Coast of a massive haul of silver, christening new fishing trawlers or hundreds of other worthy projects but as with the barometer of the stock market nothing mattered; not annual reports or price earnings ratios or the inexpensiveness of quality names.

No only emotions drive the stock market as they always do much to the chagrin of Elliot Wave forecasters or technical analysts with all sorts of break out and break down charts and the well educated who claim that the market can see or predict the future live in direct conflict with Christian and Jewish theologies and the First Commandment as their worship of future profits driven by greed has elevated their consumption unto idolization and so with other gods that have a contagious worthlessness - those who worship worthless gods become worthless in God's sight. [23]

No, none of the forecasters were ever right for very long. Dick Bove a
bank analyst most recently employed by the: “even a broken clock is right twice a day firm” was Robbie’s favorite as he traipsed from one investment house to another now predicting that Bank of America {BAC} was a quad from $15.00 though currently at $6.66 or thereabouts. Dick Bove stated on CNBC’s Fast Money as micro beads of sweat formed above his brow line that the stock was a buy. Robbie reasoned: well if you loved it at fifteen you’ll absolutely die for it at six and change! But Dick Bove landed a direct hit when he penned an article that the government has broken the banking system. Mr. Bove reasoned: “that the system is broken because of the concerted attack on it by the U.S. Government- a government that is committed to breaking the hold of the banking system on the economy. In essence the mechanism for converting money into loans is broken. Higher liquidity requirements, controls on banking services, low interest rates that reduce profitability and other regulations are preventing lending”
[28] or could it be a lack of demand due to de-leveraging as debt is destroyed. Close but no cigar Dick! As a consolation prize though Melissa Francis and Charlie Gasparino each think you’re a wizard at high finance.

Meanwhile Senator Dick Durbin and President Obama have excoriated The Bank of America for charging a monthly service fee on debit card usage. Dick Durbin was the behind the scenes architect of the Dodd-Frank Bill [29] and as a member of the Democratic Leadership retains a record of one of the most liberal members of Congress [30] and President Obama routinely appears hat in hand seeking more taxation to pursue a continuation of his own ultra expensive agenda against a backdrop of almost 15T in debt.

But Dick Bove is not alone in his projections as a plethora of men and women who dress well and speak with great exhilaration when it comes to your money; and if their cumulative client wealth creating records were flashed underneath their names on the screen like baseball card statistics on the back of a worthy addition to your collection the viewers would bolt and run screaming into the night. But they and we have never been here before at least in our lifetimes when surpluses dwindle into scarcity and  society grows more conservative as we revert collectively in the way-back machine to a reset of the fifties but with the advantage of great medical advances undiscovered then as aliens not from Roswell but now from India with Ph.D’s and MD’s  seek entry into our homeland to make it theirs too further extending our mortality curve, hand held technology and mentally controlled limbs, wheelchairs and suits of armor as in Iron Man. All Aboard!

The good news is that we one and all get to start over from our addiction to materialism, travel junkets and living large to reprioritize our lives with God, family and deep friendships. Yes there will be those who will continue attempts to recreate their comfort zone of the past and may die trying such as the gentle folks at Stanley Morgan and their enhancing the valuation of the Facebook IPO  from $30B to allegedly $100B soaking the retail clown in the process or the London Whale of  JP Morgan Chase fame moving a ten plus trillion dollar market with his trades only to eventually take a hit for the team to the tune of several billion in losses and prestige of the Bank and CEO.

We are witnessing a once in a lifetime opportunity to de-leverage our lives of all that is not important just as the great economies of the world are sifting through their mandated obligations and tossing the non essential junk overboard like fifty year in duration social security payouts and the twisted thinking that government mandated health insurance is a right of all people. Didn’t this same thinking predate the housing collapse? Is that what we want for the already stressed but most efficient and advanced healthcare delivery system in the world?

Nothing is permanent except the love of Almighty God for us and the more we attempt to remove the financial uncertainty from our lives the more we exacerbate the problem with ever riskier portfolio calls utilizing exotic financial instruments that retain some upside value but catastrophe downside momentum. Life is meant to be lived one day at a time, nothing more and nothing less.

Robbie contemplated that in The Book of Deuteronomy 15:1[24] debtors were forgiven every seven years and that until the vast majority of debt in our world is destroyed via forgiveness or default there will be no sustainable economic recovery. Besides Robbie wondered if the Bible was the basis for current healing of bad credit that all negative entries regarding credit cards and most other debts less foreclosures are erased from credit reports after seven years; besides the real measure of wealth is wanting what you have not having what you want like faith and family neither reserved exclusively for the lucky or privileged just the persistent in practice and belief.

The rest is just fear and greed with investors, savers and capital preservationists hedging heavily in the direction of the former and voting with their feet as they head for the exits and some for the hills.  Robbie believed from the outset that Mr. Obama was the first entitlement President and a man without any core beliefs. He was not a Muslim as some Evangelicals promoted because his views on homosexuality and abortion were abhorrent to true believers of Islam. He was not a Christian for the same reasoning and for his insistence that the government had a duty or a social responsibility to transfer wealth from those with means to those without contrary to the teachings of  the ancient proverb wrongly attributed to Christianity but in all likelihood to: Confucius, Lao Tzu, Laozi, and Guan Zhong but probably Chinese that: “If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day but if you teach him to fish you feed him for a lifetime” [2]  and St. Paul in Thessalonians who dictated with other leaders of the early church and in order to quell internal dissension in one city of the newly baptized was strident that if you don’t work you don’t eat to encourage the freeloaders among the faithful to contribute or risk expulsion. Robbie thought: “Mr. President; give me your beast and stop wasting all of my energy.”

.

Yet here was a man whose entire career was foisted up based not on self sufficiency but on his belief that entitlements were a part of life and through whatever means necessary income distribution must be accomplished to maintain peace and prevent outbreaks of controlled violence against the privileged. With the emotionally strained, morally confused and reckless mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg even predicting riots in the streets if the unemployment rate continued to escalate; his pre-nervous breakdown cumulated only a few days after the tenth anniversary of the commemoration of the Eleventh Day of September of 2011 When God was not invited to attend the remembrance but did so anyway.

.

Their fear mongering was little more than a government sanctioned extortion or protection scheme if you will and while Paula Begala was appearing on a news talk show courtesy of CNN to call for an immediate investigation of the husband of one Michelle Bachman for his therapy offerings the economy was on the verge of rolling over due primarily to the entitlement mentality of President Obama that all people should dedicate the fruits of their labor for the good of big government; a throwback hybrid of  Central Planning courtesy of The former Union of the Soviet Socialists Republic and Black Liberation Theology briefly championed by some Catholic Priests in Central and South America until they were rebuked during a Papal Visit by Pope John Paul II.  Robbie remembered all to well the rant of Chicago’s own Father Pflegar directed at one Hillary Clinton.

His sermon was epic but misdirected he mused and now Father Michael Plegar challenging Cardinal George in Chicago with the ultimatum that  if you ask me to leave St. Sabina Catholic Parish as Pastor and honor my vow of obedience in accepting a school assignment I will leave the Catholic church. For his sense of entitlement Father Plegar was promptly suspended from ministry. [2]

Robbie, Jack by birth,  laughed out loud and continued in a hearty deep release while flicking the ash of his cigarette into the waves lapping at the base of the ocean retaining wall. He thought how even the unions realized they were about to get corn holed by the Obama administration which promptly dispatched Joe “The Heavy” Biden to Las Vegas with his classic line that if you vote Republican don’t come crying to me.

Robbie reflected that the unions could enhance their image and short circuit their declining membership by abandoning their pro choice stance and embrace the pro life standard thereby separating themselves from the radical left feminists agenda and set the record straight once and for all that pro union, pro family and pro life remains a more coherent, symmetrical, spiritually uplifting and viable message.

Otherwise they were stuck with a sock puppet President Obama who mouthed the words of the hand under table and the real Commander and Chief Valerie Jarrett an alleged communist sympathizer.[115] Meanwhile President Obama who refused to join the fight and march on the Capital in Madison, Wisconsin preferring to tweet his support while on a flyover instead and then shortly after the Union v. Governor ballot was decided in Wisconsin and when quizzed on a Green Bay radio station as to why he did not provide any ground support to this epic battle he replied dismissively that he was busy being President.

The Union bosses were allegedly seen in a secret ritual late at night Jamming in Joe’s garage attired in Togas replete with ass holes and bending over with Joe “Woody” Biden swatting them one at a time with his favorite Catholic paddle {the one built like a waffle iron to maximize the pain effect and minimize the need for any future plenary indulgence} and after an exceptionally loud stinging wallop against their hairy ass pink flesh the union studs were each heard to scream: “Thank you sir may I have another.”

Now after licking their wounds the unions need to stand with industry and against the radical environmental groups hindering the construction of new plants and many projects that would never see the light of day due to the sneaky agenda of the “environmentalists and non jailed elf adherents” of waiting until the last day of the statute of limitations before filing lawsuits thereby causing investor money to flee the project under scrutiny. The delays sometimes for years if not decades of worthy projects some of which but not all would come on line as union shops, Robbie reasoned that the Unions needed new leadership as they betrayed their own membership by laying down on the  Keystone project. For what; another bullshit promise from an empty suit. Those were real jobs that the Obama administration flushed down the toilet to placate some environmental nut jobs;  You know that same freaks that said leave the forest alone and don’t let the Boy Scouts clean out the underbrush now converted to fuel and now twenty years later we have Super Forest Fires and Infernos raging all summer long throughout the Western United States. Thanks Jeremiah Johnson an admirer of Edward Abbey, the late great anarchist voice of the Desert Southwest. “But Redford has been a vocal critic of Barack Obama for his lack of follow-through on environmental policies.” [114]   Mr. Redford with all due respect the grievance line starts back there. No not that one; that’s the unemployment line, the one over there with Bill Richardson holding the sign with the name of his soon to be published memoir “After Me.”

Robbie applauded the decision by Richard Trumka the President of the AFL-CIO to withhold direct donations to the Democratic Party and form their own Super Pac, if you will, thereby retaining control of their own legislative destiny like the tea party who dispatched a few big names who didn’t represent their interest like Mike Castle in Delaware and Robert Bennett of Utah in previous primary elections. Why couldn’t the AFL-CIO certify primary candidates against other democrats who mimicked Presidential lip service but rarely hoisted the Union Standard?
